The Shopping Center Group has promoted Alex Munoz to the position of managing director. Munoz, who has been with the company since 2003, was most recently overseeing leasing activities closed by the firm’s Carolinas and Virginia offices. In his new role, he will oversee leasing activities in eight offices throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
Having a proven track record of dealing with landlords, developers, brokers and tenants, Munoz will also be part of the firm’s efforts to grow its Landlord Services platform throughout the region. Prior to joining TSCG, Munoz was a commercial leasing agent with Terranova Corp. and he was also a teacher for four years in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area.
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Munoz is currently overseeing a portfolio of 360 retail properties totaling 34 million square feet. In Virginia, he will share responsibilities with Jeff Pandolfo, the director of leasing of the northeast division.
